Rebecca Long Workshop 

When attending Rubicon Dance, we are given many opportunities, including workshops and extra classes, sometimes even by previous students. Which is what happened here when former pupil Rebecca Long taught us her original Commercial choreography. At the beginning of the class, she went over and taught us some of the more basic steps within Commercial and explained how it takes inspiration from other styles, such as Street and Jazz. She then set us up into pairs and gave us time to use the steps taught to create four counts of eight to go at the end of the set choreography. Although this was at the beginning of the year, I believe that this class helped us get closer as we were set with partners who we might not have gone with ourselves.
